Nicolas Otamendi to join Chelsea at end of season
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly agreed a deal that will see Argentinian centre back Nicolas Otamendi make a move to the Premier League. The Porto defender has had a host of clubs to choose from, including Barcelona, but appears to have chosen a move to England instead.
The highly rated 25-year-old centre back moved to Porto from Velez Sarsfield in 2010 and quickly established himself as one of the best defenders in the Portuguese league, helping his team to three consecutive league titles.
Otamendi has also gone on to enjoy international honours, winning over 15 caps in the process for his home country.
It has been reported that Otamendi will make a move to Chelsea at the end of the current season, signing a five year contract at Stamford Bridge.
