Arsenal scouts watch Yacine Brahimi in action

Algerian international midfielder Yacine Brahimi has been monitored by Arsenal's scouting network, with Gunners representatives catching Brahimi in action for his current club Granada in today's game with Getafe.

The 23-year-old, who made a permanent move to Granada from Rennes just this summer, has caught the eye with a number of excellent attacking displays in La Liga. Brahimi has impressed with his roaming runs and impressive dribbling on both flanks for the Spanish side. Brahimi is comfortable playing anywhere in midfield and that versatility has caught Arsene Wenger's eye.

The French born youngster, who played for France's under 21 team but recently switched his allegiance to Algeria's full national team, signed a four year contract with Grenada when he joined the club in the summer but the Spanish side have included a 15 million Euro release clause in his contract. That figure is sure not to concern many of Europe's big clubs if Brahimi continues to impress in the Spanish leagues.

Arsenal are not the only team believed to be monitoring Brahimi though, with German clubs Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg also in the race whilst Spanish side Valencia also have an interest in the player.
