Ramires plays down Real Madrid links
Chelsea defensive midfielder Ramires has dismissed rumours linking him with a January switch to La Liga giants Real Madrid.
Reports earlier this month had claimed that the Brazilian International was set to make a move to Los Blancos for a reported fee of £15m during the January transfer window.
However, the 26-year-old has now revealed that he is happy with the Blues and is keen on staying with the club until his contract expires in 2017.
"Nothing has come to me, I have just heard about this through the press," Ramires said. "My agent hasn't told me anything either. Maybe it is just speculation.
"I am under contract until 2017 and I don't want to leave while there isn't anything happening and I am happy in the team."
Ramires joined the West London outfit from Primeira Lige side Benfica in 2010 for around £18m.
