Chelsea eye January swoop for Blaise Matuidi
Premier League giants Chelsea are reportedly readying a move for talented Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi during the winter transfer window, according to The Daily Express.
The West London outfit are keen on finding a replacement for Nigerian International John Obi Mikel who has failed to implement the form he showed under manager Jose Mourinho's previous stint at the club.
The Blues manager has lined up Real Madrid's Xabi Alonso as another option , but it is understood that French International Blaise Matuidi's transfer is the more likely option considering the cheaper price tag.
French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are believed to be keen in offloading Matuidi during the January transfer window for a reasonable transfer fee, rather than risk losing the defensive midfielder for nothing at the end of his contract.
