Besiktas eye move for Jose Fonte

Turkish club Besiktas are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of Southampton defender Jose Fonte in January.

The 29-year-old centre-back has been a key member of the Saints squad in recent seasons, and has been in top form this campaign having helped the South Coast club keep six clean sheets in 12 league games.


The Mirror reprots that Besiktas have been keeping track of the defender's performances this season, and coul launch a  bid for the Portuguese during the New Year.


Fonte's current contract at St.Mary's expires in June 2015.
