Tottenham Hotspur eye move for Mohamed Salah

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing a move for Basel's Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah during the January transfer window, as per the player's agent.

The 21-year-old youngster was a thorn for the North London outfit, during their defeat to Basel in the Europa League last season, and has played a key part in his club's victories over Chelsea in the Champions League this campaign.


The Daily Star claims that Spurs sporting director Franco Baldini was having a keen eye on the player as he scored the winner against Chelsea on Match Day 5 of the Champions League.


"We know of Tottenham's interest, but as yet there has been no contact," Salah's agent Sascha Empacher said.


"Of course, Mohamed's dream is to play for one of the top teams. "He can do that in England, but also Germany and Spain."


Salah is currently valued around £20m by the Swiss outfit.
