Arsenal join Liverpool in the race for Hamburg wonderkid

Arsenal are eyeing a move for Hamburg starlet Hakan Calhanoglu with an offer in January.

Arsene Wenger known for bringing in young talent has kept tabs on the Turkish midfielder who has scored four goals in fourteen games this season.


Hamburg's resolve to hold on to the player will be tested, if a club of Arsenal's calibre make an offer. The signing, if made, will be a prized away for the future with the Arsenal midfields flowing with talent.


The 19-year-old midfielder hailed as the 'new Mesut Ozil' has been in stellar form this season with a number of assists and four goals in all competitions so far and has been capped by the Turkish national side


Arsenal face challenge from fellow Premier league rivals Liverpool looking to add quality to their embattled midfield department but are seen as favorites to bag the Turkish international side come the winter transfer window.
