Liverpool eye £12m move for Basel star Mohamed Salah

Liverpool are apparently readying a £12m bid for Basel's Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah during the winter transfer window.

The Reds manager Brendan Rodgers is keen on signing the talented player in January, and had been found watching the Egyptian International during FC Basel's 2-0 defeat to German side Schalke in the midweek clash in the Champions League.


However, Liverpool are set to face competition from league rivals Tottenham Hotspur, with reports suggesting the North London outfit are having a close eye on the player's transfer situation.


Basel are willing to allow the sale of their star player for a fee of around £15m.
