Aston Villa plot January swoop for Sebastien Pocognoli

Aston Villa are set to make a bid for Belgian full-back Sebastien Pocognoli in the winter transfer window.

The talented Hannover 96 left-back has been in good form for the Eredivisie side since his switch from AZ Alkmaar, and has apparently attracted interest from the Villans boss Paul Lambert, who is keen on strengthening the club's defence front, having seen his side fail to perform well at home this season.


With the transfer window set to re-open in a few days time, Aston Villa could be set to make a transfer offer in the region of £2.5m for the services of the 26-year-old Belgian defender.
