Liverpool join chase for Ivan Rakitic's signature

Liverpool have joined the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United in the battle for the signature of Crotian international Ivan Rakitic from Sevilla in January.

The Reds' scouts were in attendance for the La Liga club's 2-1 win over Villarreal at the weekend, with Ivan Rakitic being the main subject of interest for the Premier League giants.


The Croatian, who currently has a buy-out clause of £33m in his contract has been linked with a switch away from the Estadio Ramon in the winter transfer window, with a host ot top European sides having a close look on his transfer situation, according to El Correo Web. 


Rakitic has amassed 7 goals and 11 assists for the Spanish club in all competitions this season.
