Arsenal and Chelsea target Angel Di Maria dismisses exit talks

Real Madrid playmaker Angel Di Maria has clearly stated of his intention of staying with the La Liga outfit, in spite of interest from a number of Premier League clubs.

The Argentine star has been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and French Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco in recent weeks, with reports insisting that he was unhappy with his current contract at Los Blancos.


However, Di Maria has insisted that he would remain at Madrid and also revealed that he had not asked for a new contract extension as he was not a regular in the side.


"I'm happy at Real Madrid," He said. "I have never asked for a (contract) renewal. A player who does not play is not going to ask for a renewal.


"My head is in Madrid. You (journalists) said that I was going to Tottenham. You know where this information came from."


Di Maria joined Real Madrid from Benfica in 2010.
