Arsenal plot move for Mario Mandzukic

Arsenal are apparently tracking the performance of Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic, with a view to making a bid for the player next summer.

The Daily Mail suggests that the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is hopeful of signing up the talented 27-year-old Croatian hotshot in the summer, should the Bavarian outfit acquire the services of Robert Lewandowski at the end of the season.


Reports elsewhere claim that Mandzukic is likely to make way from the Allianz Arena next summer, with the Borussia Dortmund front man expected to join the European champions when his contract at Westfalenstadion expires in June 2014.


Mandzukic has amassed 34 goals for the club in all competitions since his switch from Wolfsburg in the summer of 2012.
