Arsenal line up move for La Liga midfield sensation

Arsenal are prepared to make a renewed offer for Real Sociedad star Antoine Griezmann, according to the Daily Express.

The Gunners are understood to have failed in their initial bid of £12.5m for the talented French midfielder, who has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in the past few months.


Manager Arsene Wenger is keen on strengthening the club's attacking department in the winter transfer window, and is expected to make a fresh offer for the player's services, as he aims to fill the void left by Theo Walcott, who suffered a serious knee injury during the club's 2-0 win over Spurs in the FA Cup third round tie.


Griezmann has scored 12 goals in 16 appearances for Sociedad in the La Liga this season.
