Everton sign Aiden McGeady

Everton have successfully completed the signing of Republic of Ireland international Aiden McGeady from Spartak Moscow this afternoon in a deal worth a reported £5.5 million.

The former Celtic man was considered to be close to a move to Goodison Park in the past week, with the Merseyside outfit keen on boosting their midfield options in the winter transfer window.


McGeady was given a warm reception by the Toffees' fans ahead of their Premier League encounter against the Canaries.


Everton could move into the top four in the Premier League with a victory over struggling Norwich City this afternoon.
