Bayern Munich plot summer move for Chelsea star

Bayern Munich are considering a transfer offer for Chelsea's star midfielder at the end of the season.

The European champions are keen on signing Juan Mata in the summer from Chelsea, with the Spaniard reportedly unhappy at the Blues, having failed to feature regularly this season.


The Mirror reports that Mata is likely to remain on the Blues' bench for the remaining half of the campaign, and this could tempt the Bavarian outfit in making a bid in the region of £20m for his services next summer, as he is ineligible to play in Champions League this term.


Reports elsewhere suggest that Mata could move to Atletico Madrid on loan for the rest of the season.
