Stoke win the race for Manchester City striker
Premier League side Stoke City have won the race to sign Manchester City striker John Guidetti. It represents quite a coup for Mark Hughes with the Swede not short on clubs that wanted him.
However before the deal can be completed Stoke need to buy Stephen Ireland from Aston Villa as Premier league rules allow only two loan players from one division and the club already have Oussama Assaidi from Liverpool along with Ireland.
Guidetti’s career was curtailed last term with a virus which has taken almost a year to overcome.
Mark Hughes has previously worked with the 23 year old when he was the manager of Manchester City.
