Manchester City planning Joleon Lescott stay
Man City are planning to keep hold of central defender Joleon Lescott. The centre back has been linked with a loan transfer to West Ham but head coach Manuel Pellegrini told reporters that there will be no short term deals agreed for Lescott's signature.
Pellegrini's words seem to suggest that he would consider a permanent deal away from the Etihad for Lescott, but there will be no such chance of a temporary stay for the player.
Lescott's contract comes to a close at the end of the season and there are numerous clubs hoping to complete a transfer for the defender.
"We are not talking about any loan at the moment," Pellegrini quipped.
"The transfer window is open until the end of January. We will see what happens, but for the moment Joleon stays here with the team."
