Mohamed Salah completes Chelsea transfer
Egyptian international winger Mohamed Salah has completed his move to Chelsea from Basel on a five-and-a-half-year-deal for a reported fee of £11m.
The 21-year-old becomes the first player from Egypt to play for the Blues, having ended weeks of speculation as to whom he would sign for, with Liverpool reportedly interested in his services.
Salah revealed his delight at joining the West London outfit and hoped to have a great career ahead.
"I'm very happy to sign for Chelsea, such a big club in the world," Salah said. "I hope I can make the Chelsea supporters happy and have a good career at the club for many years to come."
The talented Egyptian star, who was on target for Basel in both Champions League games against Chelsea this season, will wear the number 15 shirt.
