Villa midfielder to join Sheffield Wednesday on loan

Aston Villa Midfielder Gary Gardner is set to join Championship side Sheffield Wednesday on a month long loan. The midfielder has yet to make an appearance for the club this season.

The 21 has suffered back problems and since recovering hasn’t been able to dislodge Fabian Delph, Ashley Westwood, Karim El Ahmadi and Yacouba Sylla from the midfield.



Gary, brother of former Villa midfielder Craig is also out of contract in the summer and Villa manager has confirmed that the contract talks will have to wait until the end of the summer.



Wednesday are currently in the bottom half of the table and are managed by Stuart Gray, a former villain himself.
