Barca to sign Croatian starlet

Barcelona are understood to have beaten competition from a number of top Premier League clubs to secure the services of Dynamo Zagreb youngster Alen Halilovic.

Halilovic, who has been linked with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Manchester United in the past, became the youngest player to represent the Croatian national side.

The 17-year-old dubbed as the " Next Luka Modric" looks set to join the Catalans in the summer after Zagreb accepted an initial offer £5 million plus future incentives based on the player's development.

Halilovic has been capped thrice by the Croatian senior side.
