Man City to join Martin Skrtel transfer race
Manchester City are contemplating a transfer move for Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel and are ready to do battle with their cross city rivals Man Utd to secure his signing. Liverpool are reportedly set to receive at least three offers for the centre back before the season's close.
A report today suggested that Man Utd were in pole position to secure the international defender's contract, however it is now understood Manuel Pellegrini is very interested in Skrtel as a replacement for Joleon Lescott. Skrtel has been a rock at the back of Liverpool's sturdy defensive line this campaign and that form has attracted some of the biggest teams in the league. The Slovak bagged a brace in a 5-1 win over Arsenal two weekends ago.
