Man Utd favourites to land Bundesliga star

Manchester United are reportedly considered frontrunners for the signature of Ilkay Gundogan from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

The Daily Star claims that the 23-year-old German international who has been linked with the Red Devils since last summer, could make the switch to the England's top tier , as along as he regains full fitness from his back injury.

With interest high at Arsenal and Real Madrid, Gundogan could move to the Red Devils with Dortmund eager on bringing back former player Shinji Kagawa to the Westfalenstadion on a swap deal.

Gundogan has been with BVB since 2011.
