Roma consider move for Tottenham star

Serie A outfit AS Roma could make a move for Tottenham's Belgian defender Jan Vertonghen in the summer, according to a report.

Vertonghen has been a key member of the Spurs line-up since his move from Ajax in the summer of 2012.

 

However, talkSPORT claims that the 26-year-old has refused to commit his future with the Premier League giants, with the club not guaranteed a top-four finish in the current campaign.

 

The failure to qualify for Europe's elite football competitions is likely to force Spurs into selling their star centre-back in the summer.

 

Vertonghen has made 75 appearances for Spurs in all competitions so far.
