Sunderland boss hints at Fabio Borini stay

Sunderland manager Gus Poyet has admitted that he will look at the opportunity of signing on-loan striker Fabio Borini on a permanent deal, should the club survive relegation from the Premier League this season.
The 22-year-old who is on a season-long loan deal from Liverpool, has been in good form for the Black Cats this term.

According to The Shields Gazette, manager Poyet is now keen on keeping holding of the former Roma star, should the club beat the drop come the end of the current campaign.

"Borini is an important player, and he will be important to us if we stay in the Premier League, and are able to keep him," The Uruguayan said."He's the perfect character to have in a group of players these days - he's the perfect professional, always positive."

The Italian striker has scored 6 goals in 30 appearances for the Black Cats this season.
