Standard Liege striker wants Arsenal switch
Standard Liege striker Michy Batshuayi has revealed of his admiration for the Gunners, ahead of a possible transfer in the summer.
The 23-year-old who has been linked with a summer exit from the Belgian club, considers Arsenal as his preferred destination.
Batshuayi has also attracted interest from Everton over the past weeks following a string of impressive performances for Liege in the Jupiler League.
This is what the striker had to say about Arsenal: "There is a good philosophy at that club and there is confidence in young players in a technically strong team that cares about football.
"I've loved the club from childhood."I am a person with vision, I want [to move] ahead as quickly as possible. I'm going to make a decision in consultation with my agents and my family but, at this moment, I have signed nothing."
The Belgian youngster has notched up 18 goals for the club this season, and is a likely candidate to act as a back-up to Romelu Lukaku and Christian Benteke for the striker's role in the national side for this summer's World Cup finals in Brazil.
