Blackburn comeback for draw

Blackburn Rovers came back from behind twice to record a 2-2 draw and a point against Fulham at Craven Cottage. Stephen Warnock's late equaliser was enough to make sure both sides shared the spoils.

A goal 11 minutes from time from Stephen Warnock secured a point for the away team, after strikes from Danny Murphy and Diomansy Kamara had sandwiched a Brett Emerton equaliser.

Rovers lost their top scorer Benni McCarthy within minutes of kick-off after a scything tackle from Dejan Stefanovic.

With Roque Santa Cruz rested after returning late from international duty with Paraguay, Jason Roberts was brought on by Mark Hughes as his side's only recognised striker.

The change saw Rovers lose their fluency and a disjointed half followed.

Five minutes into the second half Murphy broke the deadlock after Kamara was sent sprawling in the box by New Zealand international Ryan Nelsen.

Murphy made no mistake from the resulting spot-kick, sending Brad Friedel the wrong way in the Blackburn goal.

Emerton equalised just before the hour mark when he buried Roberts' inadvertent flick-on from Warnock's left-wing cross.

Fulham regained the lead minutes later through Kamara after he finished Simon Davies' centre at the far post.

But there was still time for Warnock to reassert his England credentials after getting forward well and fire past Fulham keeper Antti Niemi following good work again from Roberts.

Sanchez: we're hard to beat

“We want to keep away from the bottom three, and there are eight other teams worse than us.

“There are others in much worse scenarios than we are in, and we are the hardest team to beat in the bottom half of the table.”
