Chelsea eye Barkley-Lukaku swap deal
Chelsea are reportedly preparing a transfer offer to sign Everton midfield star Ross Barkley on a swap deal with Romelu Lukaku moving the other way.
The Daily Star reports that the Blues boss Jose Mourinho is willing to allow out-of-favour striker Lukaku leave the club as a makeweight for the signing of one of England's finest midfield talents in Ross Barkley during the summer transfer window.
It is understood that Mourinho considers the talented midfielder as a potential successor to Frank Lampard, who is expected join MLS outfit Los Angeles Galaxy at the end of the current campaign.
Chelsea's title hopes were dealt a huge blow yesterday as they lost by a 1-0 margin to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
