Liverpool plot summer move for S'oton defender Dejan Lovren

Liverpool are believed to be readying a summer bid for Southampton centre-back Dejan Lovren, as per The Mirror.

The report claims that the Reds manager Brendan Rodgers is considering making a move for a top-class central defender during the summer, with the future of Danish international Daniel Agger in doubt beyond the current campaign.

 

Adding to this, the inefficiency of Kolo Toure in defence could tempt the Reds into making a transfer offer to land the services of the talented Croatian international for the next season.

 

Lovren, who was previously linked with a switch to the Merseyside outfit last summer, has three years left in his current deal with the Saints.
