Chelsea keeper Cech ready for Courtois competition
Petr Cech is confident that he can keep the upcoming keeper Thibaut Courtois at bay. The Chelsea number 1 could face extra competition from Courtois should the Belgian be brought to Stamford Bridge after ending his loan spell at Atletico Madrid.
Cech has so far remained Jose Mourinho's preferred first choice keeper but many expect Courtois to eventually take over the number 1 jersey.
Talk of the extra competition fails to concern Cech though, and he told reporters: "If, on the first day of pre-season, Thibaut Courtois is here, he is here. If he is not, he is not."
"It does not change anything. I will still have to do better than whoever else is here, to keep my place. It doesn't change anything for me."
