Real Madrid star close to Arsenal transfer

Arsenal are believed to have reopened talks with Real Madrid over a potential transfer for striker Alvaro Morata in the summer.

The Spanish Under-21 international has been strongly associated with a transfer to the North London club since the turn of the year, with widespread reports speculating that the player had agreed a deal with the Gunners during the winter transfer window.

 

The Gunners are now front-runners to sign up the talented forward ahead of league rivals Manchester United in the summer, having seen the 21-year-old recently reveal of his preference to move to the Emirates over Old Trafford.

 

Morata has scored 5 goals in 26 appearances for Los Blancos this season.
