Former Chelsea boss keen on signing Romelu Lukaku
Former Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas is reportedly eyeing a summer move for Romelu Lukaku, according to a report.
The Portuguese manager, who was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur mid-season, is keen on re-earning his reputation back with the Russian club.
According to FootballDirect News, Zenit are likely to lose star striker Hulk to Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain for a fee in the region of £50m this summer, and this will tempt Villas-Boas to enter the transfer market for a top-class replacement.
Adding to this, the uncertainty over the future of Lukaku, could well place the Belgian international as the number one transfer target for Zenit during this summer's transfer window.
It is believed that the Blues boss Jose Mourinho is open to the sale of the talented striker to a foreign club, rather than to a league rival.
Lukaku, currently on a season-long loan deal at Everton, has scored 13 league goals so far.
