Liverpool front-runners to sign Cristian Tello

Liverpool are considered favourites to secure th services of Cristian Tello from Barcelona this summer, according to The Mirror.

The Reds boss Brendan Rodgers failed in the pursuit for the long-term target last summer, but it now looks like the Catalan giants are willing to offload the striker following his dispute with manager Gerardo Martino.

 

The Mirror claims that the Merseyside club are keen on strengthening the attacking department as they prepare to play among Europe's elite in the Champions League next season, and will consider making a bid of around £8m for the Spanish youngster.

 

Liverpool's title hopes were dented following their 3-3 draw at Crystal Palace on Monday night.
