Aston Villa want Steve Sidwell

Aston Villa are chasing Fulham midfielder Steve Sidwell. Paul Lambert is already planning his summer transfer moves despite continuous talk of his own position at the club being under threat.

Fulham have made a list of 5 players that they are to build their club around next season in the Championship and Sidwell appears to have not made the cut. The former Arsenal youngster has been in good form for Fulham in recent seasons but the Cottagers are now ready to cash in. Aston Villa are said to have been preparing a bid for over six months and are confident they can secure a transfer for the midfielder this summer.
