Liverpool star heading to Real Madrid?

Real Madrid are reportedly set to tempt Liverpool with a summer bid of around £60m for the services of one of the club's most influential players in recent years.

Luis Suarez, 27,  had been associated with a switch to Arsenal last summer, but the Reds somehow managed to keep hold of their star, with reports claiming that owner John W Henry had rebuffed an offer which had triggered the player's release clause of £40 + 1m.

 

According to the Metro, Los Blancos are ready to tempt the Reds with a mega offer in the region of £60m.

 

The Merseyside giants look unlikely to win the league at this stage of the season, and this could turn to be a defining factor in Suarez's plans for the future.

Liverpool play their final game of the season against Newcastle United at home this afternoon.
