Man Utd opt out of Fabregas race

Manchester United have reportedly cooled their interest in signing Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas this summer.

The talented Spaniard has been constantly linked with a switch to the Red Devils under manager David Moyes last summer.

 

Reports have revealed that the 26-year-old is open to a return to the Premier League, having endured an indifferent season at the Catalan giants.

 

However, it is now understood that it could be a one-horse race for the player's services, with Arsenal in pole position to land the former Gunners favourite.

 

In addition to this, United will shift their focus to strengthening their backline, following the appointment of Louis van Gaal as their new boss.
