Belgium forward Benteke to miss World Cup

Belgium international striker Christian Benteke has been dealt with a massive blow after learning that he will be missing from the World Cup this summer.

The Aston Villa striker had injured himself during the Premier League season and is now not going to be part of Belgium's squad in Brazil.

"It's a terrible blow both for Christian and for the club," said Villa boss Paul Lambert. "But he'll work hard because that's what he does and he'll come back for us stronger than ever next season."
