Everton to sign Sunderland's Adam Johnson on a season-long loan deal

Everton are apparently closing in on a season-long loan switch for Sunderland winger Adam Johnson, according to The People.
The report claims that the Toffees manager Roberto Martinez is looking to sign a wide player in the summer, and considers the 26-year-old as the perfect foil to fit into his tactical setup, as the club gear up to play in the Europa League next term.
The Black Cats' need to reduce their wage structure has prompted them to allow the temporary switch to Everton, with the Merseysiders unwilling to pay-out a transfer fee for the permanent transfer.
