Kaka wins Ballon d'Or
AC Milan midfielder Kaka won the Ballon d'Or ahead of Man Utd playmaker Cristiano Ronaldo. Kaka had been the hot favorite to win the accolade for some time, but France Football have awarded Kaka the trophy.
The Brazilian playmaker garnered 444 points in the vote from 96 journalists around the world, while Ronaldo was second with 277. Barcelonaâs Argentine attacker Lionel Messi finished third with 255 points.
Kaka, 25, had played a key role in taking the Italian giants to Champions League glory with 10 goals in the last campaign. He is also said to be the favourite for the FIFA World Player of the Year award to be decided December 17 where he is up against Ronaldo and Messi
