Steven Caulker to make Crystal Palace transfer
Crystal Palace have won the race to sign Cardiff City defender Steven Caulker. The England international centre back will sign a four year contract with the Eagles and has joined for a reported fee of £8 million, earning £52,000 a week.
Caulker joined Cardiff City back in July 2013 and proved himself to be one of the Bluebirds' best players during their struggling Premier League campaign in 2013-14. Queens Park Rangers were also weighing up a bid for Caulker, but could not afford to spend the amount that Crystal Palace had already bid.
Crystal Palace will be hoping to build on their excellent Premier League run under Tony Pulis last time around and with the signing of Caulker, this shows a real statement of intent for the campaign ahead.
