Mikel Arteta denies Arsenal exit talk

32-year-old midfielder Mikel Arteta has ruled out a summer move away from Arsenal. The Spanish midfielder had been linked with a transfer to Italian side Fiorentina.

Arteta, who enjoyed the first major silverware of his career after helping Arsenal lift the FA Cup last season, is amongst a list of two or three names who could be heading out of the Emirates before the start of the new season.

But Arteta denies talk of a transfer away from London and insists that he is happy to stay in North London: "I can’t stop the rumours, but what I am certain is that I’m really happy here, I feel valued, I have been given a lot of responsibility and I like it. Until they think something different about me, I’m happy."
