Luuk de Jong completes move to PSV Eindhoven
Former Newcastle United loanee Luuk de Jong has completed his transfer to PSV Eindhoven from German club Borussia Monchengladbach.
De Jong spent the second half of last season on loan at Newcastle and has not scored a competitive goal in over a year.
Life has turned full circle for the 23-year old who has returned to the Netherlands, where he was the Eredivisie's second-highest goalscorer in 2011-12 with 25 goals for FC Twente.
"Eindhoven desperately wanted to sign Luuk and we were able to reach an agreement on terms. We wish Luuk all the best for his future and we look forward to seeing him again in a friendly game that we've arranged." said Max Eberl, Gladbach's director of sport.
De Jong scored only eight goals in 44 games for Gladbach, whom he joined in 2012 from Twente for a club-record fee of about €12 million.
Both PSV and Gladbach have qualified for Europa League and so, he could face his former club in the competition next season.
