West Ham United want Christian Atsu on loan

Chelsea winger Christian Atsu could be the subject of a loan bid from West Ham United this summer, according to Sky Sports News.

Atsu joined the Blues from Porto last summer, and was immediately loaned out to Eredivisie outfit Vitesse Arnhem for the rest of the season.

Sky Sports News claims that Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is keen on strengthening the club's attack front during the current transfer window, and will make an approach to sign the 22-year-old on a season-long loan deal.

The talented winger is expected to spark interest from several clubs this summer, having featured in all three of Ghana's fixtures during the World Cup finals in Brazil.
