Chelsea confirm Felipe Luis signing

Chelsea have officially announced the transfer of Atletico Madrid defender Filipe Luis to the club on a three-year deal.

The Blues had been negotiating a transfer fee with the Spanish champions over the past month, following agreement over personal terms with the Brazilian full-back.

It has now been confirmed that Luis will ply his trade for the West London club following an agreement over a £20m fee for the player's signature.

This is what Luis has to say on the Blues' official website: "This move is a dream come true for me. I now have the opportunity to play for Chelsea, and also in the Premier League."

"I'm very happy and looking forward to getting started and giving my best for the team during the coming seasons."

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho also revealed that the club will not venture into the transfer market anymore this summer.
