Liverpool eyeing swoop for star striker?

Liverpool are reportedly set to make a summer bid for Paris Saint-Germain striker Ezequiel Lavezzi, according to The Express.

The Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has been keen on strengthening the club in all departments this summer, as they prepare to face-off against Europe's elite in the Champions League next season.

The Express claims that Rodgers will now seek a suitable replacement for star striker Luis Suarez, who joined Barcelona earlier in the month. In addition to this, the report also suggests that the Merseysiders are likely to join the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea in the pursuit of Lavezzi, who could leave Les Parisiens for a fee of around £18m this summer.
