Alvaro Arbeloa returning to the Premier League?

Álvaro Arbeloa is thinking long and hard about his future, since another serious Premier League outfit has come knocking at his door: Arsenal. Following a season where he lost prominence in Real Madrid to Dani Carvajal, the defender is considering another spell in England having previously had a positive experience with Liverpool.

The Real youth-team product returned to Madrid after his spell with Liverpool and was an automatic starter for Jose Mourinho. He also got game time under Ancelotti, but with the arrival of Carvajal he has been more of a squad player. An injury left him on the sidelines for a while and the two alternated between playing and sitting on the bench last season.

But Arbeloa now has the chance to sign a new contract, which improves his salary and runs for longer than his current contract with 'Los Blancos'. He would ideally like to stay at the club he has supported for his whole life, but he knows English football well. There have also been whispers that Mourinho would be interested in taking him to Chelsea.
