Lulinha gets new contract
Brazilian starlet Lulinha has agreed a new contract with Brazilian giants Corinthians. Lulinha has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Premiership and Chelsea and Liverpool were both interested.
"We have renewed the contract with him up to December 31, 2012," confirmed president Andres Sanchez.
"Now to take him off Corinthians, the interested club would have to pay 50 million American dollars (£24million), and the player has 25 per cent of his rights."
The player himself said: "In 2012 I will be just 22-years-old, and that is not a high age really," he told Gazeta Esportiva.
"I have always spoken about fulfilling my contract with Corinthians and I have the same thoughts now."
