Man Utd lead Barca in race to sign Colombian star

Manchester United are apparently considered favourites to sign Barcelona target and Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado this summer, according to The Star.

The Colombian international has been the subject of transfer speculation since his excellent performance for the national side during the World Cup finals in Brazil.

Barcelona were deemed to be closing in on a deal for the talented winger, but Fiorentina are playing hard ball by asking for more than what the La Liga giants are willing to offer.

According to The Star, the Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal could seize on the initiative and make a bid of around £30m for the Colombian sensation.

Cuadrado scored 15 goals in 43 games for the Serie A club last season.
