DeAndre Yedlin to join Tottenham

Seattle Sounders defender DeAndre Yedlin will wrap up a deal to join Tottenham next week. The highly rated USA international will sign a five year contract with Mauricio Pochettino's side.

Yedlin, who was one of the stars of the United States' World Cup campaign, has been targeted by a host of top European sides, however Spurs appear to have won the race to sign the 5 foot 8 full back.

The Seattle born youngster had been a target for numerous teams but is apparently most interested in making a move to a London club as opposed to Germany, where a host of other teams have expressed some interest in acquiring Yedlin.

The defender is expected to join up with his new club next Tuesday.
