Leroy Fer edges closer to QPR transfer
Queens Park Rangers have moved a step closer to wrapping up a deal for Norwich City midfielder Leroy Fer today, after the two clubs agreed an 8 million pounds transfer fee.
Fer, who was a part of the Canaries side that was relegated to the Championship last season, has asked for a transfer after hearing of interest from numerous Premier League sides.
Newcastle were amongst the sides to have made an enquiry for Fer, including Ronald Koeman's Southampton. However, it is understood that QPR are now in pole position to wrap up a lucrative deal for the Dutch international midfielder.
Fer will arrive in London for contract talks on Monday and a deal will be announced by Tuesday afternoon.
