Hull City to sign Uruguayan star Abel Hernandez?
Hull City manager Steve Bruce is set to secure a massive coup and capture the signing of Uruguayan international striker Abel Hernandez from Palermo. The 24-year-old will replace Shang Long as the Tigers' first choice striker.
It is understood that Hull City have agreed a 15 million euro transfer fee for the striker, who has had spells playing for Penarol and Central Espanol prior to a move to Italy.
With 14 caps and 7 goals to his name, Hernandez is hoping that a spell in the Premier League will boost his international opportunities. Currently, Hernandez plays fourth choice striker behind Luis Suarez, Diego Forlan and Edinson Cavani at international level.
Hernandez will replace Shane Long, who left for Southampton for a bumper transfer fee two weeks ago.
